Cyber Resilience Summit NSW 2026 in Sydney
Great to have participated in the Cyber Resilience Summit NSW 2026 in Sydney, discussing the rise of nation-state cyber threats and what this means for Australian organisations.
Our panel explored how state-backed cyber operations are evolving, which organisations may be targets without necessarily recognising it, the role of threat intelligence, and how international events are changing the threat landscape. We also discussed the challenge for boards and operators: balancing national security considerations with commercial realities.
A key takeaway for me: geopolitical risk is increasingly technology risk. Building resilience requires understanding not only the threats we face, but why our organisations, data and supply chains may be strategically relevant.
Thank you to my fellow panellists Jen Stockwell (Telstra), Geoff White (BBC), Gai Brodtmann (ANU) for the thoughtful discussion, and to Eddie Knott for bringing the Forefront Cyber Community together for an important conversation.
